Help little ones be patient until Christmas with this storytelling twist on the timeless Advent tradition. Each day, starting December 1st and counting down to Christmas Eve, children can read a story that recounts how Santa and Ms. Claus, the elves and the reindeer get ready for the big night ahead, from Santa’s initial fitness test (will he make it through the chimney this year?) to a behind-the-scenes look at Santa’s toy factory.
A book that captures all the excitement and the magic of the holiday season.

Kim Thompson is a filmmaker, television writer and children’s book author. She grew up in Saskatchewan and now lives with her daughter on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia. Kim has exceeded any reasonable quota for interests and hobbies, but the main ones at the moment seem to be photography, knitting, old movies, reading history books, and playing the ukulele and the drums badly.

- A story a day for advent sets the scene and excitement for Christmas. The book is enjoyable, funny and entertaining. It is beautifully illustrated to keep even the smallest of children entertained. I will be recommending it to primary teachers to use as there story book for December. - Patricia Long, Educator, NetGalley
- This book is a delight! It is full of bright, colorful illustration that capture the humor of story and the spirit of Christmas. This would be a great title to add to home collection for the holidays. - Brandi Heckelsmiller, Goodreads
- This book can be part of the anticipation of the season while helping teach patience, days of the month and counting all at once. Ho-ho-ho! - Amanda Hanson, Librarian, NetGalley
