The deadline for the first round of deliberations is November 4, 2019.

One of Canada’s main commitments to the Frankfurt Book Fair as part of its presence as the Guest of Honour country in 2020 is to organize the literary programming, developed jointly by a Literary Programming Committee (LPC) and its Canadian and German partners. The Canada FBM2020 team recently returned from Frankfurt where they successfully held the Guest of Honour ‘Canada 2020’ preview press conference on Thursday, October 17th and Canada gave a preview of its 2020 programme to international media and to the industry. The official Guest of Honour Handover Ceremony was held on Sunday, October 20th, concluding the 2019 edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair and officially launching Canada’s Guest of Honour year.

For the 2020 edition, Canada FBM2020 is currently inviting Canadian publishers and literary agents to submit applications for Canadian authors, illustrators, and creators to participate in events organized at the Frankfurt Book Fair (October 14-18, 2020) and at other literary events in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2020.
