Acadian youth author

Winner of literary awards, including the Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie Award, Diane grew up in the Acadian village of Memramcook, New Brunswick. She has written several critically acclaimed novels and albums. Her first book, La butte à Pétard, is a classic of Acadian children’s literature. La patate cadeau ou la “vraie” histoire de la poutine râpée, to be published in German by Mons Verlag, is a tale of friendship between German emigrants and an Acadian survivor of deportation. This historical link between communities continues to surprise by its socio-cultural and culinary interest.
